Leonard Brummett

 Leonard P. 'Tex' Brummett, 65, of Rt. 4, Delphi, died at 11:10 a.m. April 11, 1996, at Home Hospital where he had been a patient three days.
  Box March 13, 1931, in Lafayette, he was the son of Chris A. and Pearl Farney Brummett.  His marriage was on March 23, 1952, in Flora, to Kathleen Brown, who survives.
  He farmed in Carroll County, retiring in 1985.
  A 1949 graduate of Delphi High School, he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
  He was a member of the First Brethren Church in Flora, where he was a trustee and served on the pulpit committee.  He also was a member of Mt. Olive Masonic Lodge 48 and American Legion Post 75, and a former member of IOOF Lodge 28, all in Delphi.
  Also surviving are his mother, of Rt. 2, Delphi; three sons, Stephen L. Brummett of Rt. 2, Flora, Phillip B. Brummett of Monticello, and Bradford L. Brummett of Delphi; a brother, Ray Brummett of Rt. 2, Brookston, and seven grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his father.
  Services were Saturday at Horn Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Munson and Rev. Alvin Grumbling officiating.  Burial was in IOOF Memorial Gardens, Delphi.
  Memorials may be made to the Cardio-Pulmonary Respiratory Department of Home Hospital or the First Brethren Church of Flora.
