Herbert Wilson

Herbert W. Wilson, 59, of Mulberry, died at 2:30 p.m. March 18, 1991, in Home Hospital, Lafayette. Born Aug, 28, 1931, in Delphi, he was the son of Rolland and Formosa Stonebraker Wilson. He graduated from Delphi High School in 1949 and had lived in Mulberry since 1964. On Jan. 18, 1973, he married Sylvia Jane Whitlock, who survives. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9383 and American Legion Post 75, both in Delphi. He worked at Alcoa in Lafayette for 35 years. He was a member of the Alcoa 25-Year Club and Local 115 in Lafayette of the Aluminum, Brick and Glass International Union of the AFL-CIO. Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Lou Ann Graham of Battle Ground and Vicki Setzer of West Lafayette; four stepsons, Floyd Kinslow of Jefferson, Thomas Kinslow of Fort Pierce, Fla., Daniel Kinslow of West Lafayette, and Ralph Kinslow of Mulberry; a stepdaughter, Mary Stoker of Fort Worth, Texas; two brothers, James R. Wilson of Delphi and Charles F. Wilson of Greenwood; three stepbrothers, Bill Lantz of Delphi, Barney Lantz of Long Beach, Calif., and Gene Lantz of San Francisco, Calif.; a stepsister, Mary Ellen Reading of Indianapolis; five grandchildren and 10 step grandchildren. A sister preceded him in death. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Bodine-Brown Funeral Home, Mulberry, with Pastor Bob Golden officiating. Burial will be in Wyandot Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
