Robert Brookbank - Class Of 1950

 Robert L. Brookbank, 62, 103 Bowen Court, Delphi, died at 6:50 a.m. Monday, June 19, 1995 in Memorial Hospital, Logansport after arriving for work that morning.
  Born July 31, 1932 in Pittsburg, he was the son of Lynn and Margaret Lybrook Brookbank.  He married Virginia E. Pletcher Delaney in Delphi on Jan. 16, 1959, and she preceded him in death Feb. 6, 1993.  On Jan. 7, 1995, he married Carolyn Kiger Redmon in Logansport, and she survives.
  Brookbank was a pharmacist for the past six years at Logansport Memorial Hospital.  Before that he owned and operated Orr's Drug Store for over 20 years.
  He graduated Purdue University School of Pharmacy in 1954, served in the Korean Conflict as an Army medic and was a member of the Delphi American Legion Post #75.
  Brookbank was an Elder and Deacon at First Presbyterian Church in Delphi, a member of the Junto Club, Carroll County Historical Society and the Wabash and Erie Canal Association.  He also participated in the Indiana Pharmacutical Association and the Indiana Historical Society.
  Also surviving are three sons, Phillip L., Monticello, David M., Ninevah, and Ned A. Delaney, Lafayette; three step-sons, Larry, Chris and Stephen Redmon; a sister, Virginia Schaller, Naperville, Ill.; three grandsons and one granddaughter, five step grandsons and one step granddaughter.
  Also preceding him in death was one brother.
  Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Horn Funeral Home, Delphi, Rev. Ellis Gasser will officiate and burial will be in IOOF Memorial Gardens with American Legion Rites.  Visitation is today, from 4-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
