Vivian Evelyn Summitt of Stinesville died Monday, May 7, 2012 at 11:37 p.m. at her residence with her family by her side. Vivian was born on December 9, 1931 in Brown County to William and Hazel (Stark) Brummett. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Ronnie and Paul Summitt; five brothers, and two sisters. Vivian is survived by her children, Davey C. Summitt, John C. Summitt, and Debra L. Payton; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; and sisters, Sally Holshaw, Margaret Coggins and Sarah Hartwig. Funeral services for Vivian will be held at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville on Friday, May 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother John Baker presiding. Burial will follow at Old Dutch Cemetery. Friends may call upon the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
