Janet L. Ploughe, 93, passed away January 11, 2026, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Janet was born on August 4,1932, in Flora, Indiana, to the late Arthur and Eva (Maxwell) Cassell. She married Clyde Ploughe on April 5, 1953, in Delphi, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on February 8, 2022. Janet was employed by St. Elizabeth Hospital as a secretary for over 22 years prior to her retirement. Janet was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Psi Iota Xi Sorority (Delta Zeta Chapter) and an avid supporter of all things Purdue. Janet enjoyed gardening, collecting and using recipe books, traveling, and snowbirding in Florida for 15 winters. Janet’s greatest joy was spending time with friends and family. Janet will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Janet is survived by her daughter, Joyce Krauser of Indianapolis, and her brother Dana Cassell of Lafayette, and her granddaughter Emily Krauser.
