Harold Sprague - Class Of 1950

 Services for Harold W. Sprague, 58, of Delphi were Friday at Horn Funeral Home in Delphi.  Dr. Ellwood Smith officiated.  Burial was in IOOF Memorial Gardens where military rites were conducted.
  He died March 28, 1990, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette where he had been a patient for three weeks.
  Born March 7, 1932, in Mishawaka, he was a son of Forrest and Gladys Wiley Sprague.  His marriage on July 10, 1955, in Delphi was to Betty Jean Cole, who survives.
  A 1950 graduate of Delphi High School, he attended Valparaiso University and graduated from Indiana College of Mortuary Science in Indianapolis.  He worked at the former Jackson Funeral Home in Delphi and entered the army in 1952, serving two years as a military policeman during the Korean Conflict.
  For 17 years Sprague worked at Public Service Indiana in Lafayette and on March 9 he retired after 17 years with Carroll County R.E.M.C. where he was a line superintendent.  Sprague was a member of Post 75 American Legion at Delphi.
  Other survivors are two daughters, Erin Fassnacht of Rockfield and Laurie Sprague of Delphi; two sons, Bradley C. and Bart, both of Carmel; his mother and six grandchildren.
  He was preceded in death by an infant son.
