Herbert E. Collins, 45, Frankfort died Sat., June 7, 1980, at St. Elizabeth Hospital from injuries sustained in a traffic accident on the White-Carroll County Line Road on May 31. Born September 1, 1934, in Judyville, he was employed at Lennox Lincoln-Mercury Co. in Frankfort. He was married Jan. 26, 1952. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Frankfort and American Legion in Delphi. Surviving with his wife, Janice, are his parents, Vollie E. Collins of Clarks Hill and Frances Hawn of Lafayete; one son, Herbert E. Collins II of Frankfort; two daughters, Janella A. McIntosh of Frankfort and Sheila C. McCarty of Middletown, Ohio; four half sisters, Carolyn L. Mahoy of Crawfordsville, Marilyn S. Thrush and Kim Lathery, both of Lafayette, and Susan Plunkitt of Grissom Air Force Base; two half brothers, Jim Collins of Oklahoma and Doug Hawn of Lafayette; and three grandchildren. A sister and one brother preceded him in death. Services were this morning at Goodwin Funeral Home in Frankfort with the Rev. O.B. Thomas officiating. Burial was in Pyrmont Cemetery.
