John A. Greenwalt, 83, passed away Jan. 31, 2017, at his home, after a battle with dementia and Parkinson's disease. He was born Jan. 6, 1934, in Delphi, Indiana, to John and Mary Conn Greenwalt.
He farmed most of his life, moving to Owen County in 1962 for 46 years, then moving to Terre Haute in 2008. He loved to garden then and give the produce to friends and neighbors.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rosemary Wamsher Greenwalt; son, David (Jeannie) Greenwalt; daughters, Pamela (Patrick) Mongin, Linda Epeards and Carolyn Greenwalt; sister, Susan Downing; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, brother-in-law and a niece.
At his request, there were no services. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Bowling Green, Indiana.
