Barbara Kenworthy (Adams)

Barbara A. Adams, 85, of Monticello, formerly of Delphi, passed away at White Oaks Health Campus on April 19, 2021.

Barbara was born on July 2, 1935 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Vernon and Florence (Beaver) Kenworthy.

Barbara was a 1953 graduate of Delphi High School. She was a member of the Girls Athletic Association, the first freshman cheerleader and a member of the Future Homemakers and member of the Sunshine Club and Rebekah’s.

She retired from Globe Valve on Dec. 31, 1997. She was a quality control inspector.

She was a member of the Living Faith Church of the Brethren in Flora and was a member of the Church choir. She also was a member of the Bunko Club.

Barbara enjoyed gardening, reading, listening to music, especially Barry Manilow whom she went to see and sang with him at his concert in Indianapolis.

She is survived by daughters: Raeann O’Shay of Monticello and Ellen Smith of Delphi and sons: Nathan Paul Adams of Monticello and Steven Eric Adams of Crosby, TX; sister, Melody Busch (Mike) of Delphi and sister-in-law, Joan Kenworthy of Washington; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jim Kenworthy.

Visitation will be on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi. Pastor Guy Studebaker officiating. Burial will follow in IOOF Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions in Barbara’s memory may be made to the Living Faith Church of the Brethren Youth Group or Faith on Fire.
