Ernest Sass

  Ernest H. Sass Jr., 60, of Logansport, formerly of Monticello and Delphi, died at 6:40 a.m. May 20, 1996, in Memorial Hospital, Logansport.
  Born June 13, 1935, he was the son of Ernest H. and Carol K. Edging Sass.
  A 1953 graduate of Delphi High School, he worked at various factories in the Delphi area.
  He served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1960 and was a member of Logansport American Legion Post 60.
  Surviving are one son, Michael Sass of Star City; four daughters, Shellee Alexander and Karen Shidler, both of Star City, Sherree Miller of LaPorte, and Karla Jenkins of Winamac; his father, of Delphi; two brothers, Donald E. Sass of Delphi and Richard D. Sass of Monticello; a sister, Ida Mullins of Largo, Fla.; and 13 grandchildren.
  A private family service will be held at Horn Funeral Home, with burial in IOOF Cemetery, Delphi.
  Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
