John F. Benjamin, 65, Rt. 1, Battle Ground, died Sunday, February 17, 1980, at Hardee Hospital in Wauchula, FL, where he had been a patient since January 20.  He had been in hill health five years.

Born December 22, 1914, in Carroll County his parents were Edward E. and Nellie Childers Benjamin.  He was a farmer in this area all his life. 

Benjamin was a member of the Delphi United Methodist Church and Odd Fellows No. 28 and a 1934 graduate of Delphi High School.

Survivors include two sisters, Mary C. Benjamin, Rt. 1, Battle Ground, and Ruth L. Neumann, Lafayette.

Friends may call at the Thompson Funeral Home, Delphi, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 where services will be Friday at 10:30 with Rev. Donald Ashley officiating.  The Odd Fellows will hold services Thursday night.  Burial will be in Riverview Cemetary, Monticello.
