Charles Delaney - Class Of 1934

 Charles W. Delaney, 87, of Delphi, died at 2:10 p.m. on Sept 9, 2003, in St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
  Born in Delphi on May 11, 1916, he was the son of John T. and Edna Bever Delaney, and was a 1934 graduate of Delphi High School.
  He married Gertrude C. Beutel on May 21, 1940, in Lafayette, and she survives.
  Mr. Delaney worked for Delphi Water Department.  He retired from Delphi Auto Supply in 1977.  After retirement, he worked for Brosman's IGA.
  He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a charter member of Knights of Columbus.
  Surviving with his wife are four sons, Patrick A. Delaney of Grand Rapids, Mich., Michael A. Delaney of Francesville, Thomas F. Delaney of Lafayette and Richard H. Delaney of Elkhart; 10 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
  He was preceded in death by a son and four brother.
  Services were Sept. 12, with Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery.  Arrangements were made by Davidson Funeral Home.
