Boyd Martin - Class Of 1934

  Boyd Martin, 76, of the Indiana Veterans Home, died there at 8:15 p.m. Aug. 1, 1992.
  He was born Feb. 20, 1916, in Delphi.  He grew up in Delphi and spent most of his life in the Delphi area. He was a 1934 graduate of Delphi High School.
  His marriage was in 1944 to Ada Gochenour, who died in 1962.
  He sold securities and bonds for Seeburo Co. of Chicago, retiring in 1974.
  A World War II Navy veteran, he served from 1942 until August 1945.  He served in Australia and New Guinea.
  He was a member of the United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 75 and Masonic Lodge 48, all of Delphi, and the Elks Lodge.
  Surviving are one daughter, Barbara Mulligan of Monticello; a son, Boyd Martin Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla.; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
  Services were Tuesday at the Indiana Veterans Home.  Burial was in the Indiana Veterans Home Cemetery, with full military rites.
