Mary Lane (Leitzke)

 Mary Lamb Leitzke, 77, of Delphi, died at 8:41 p.m. April 7, 1993, at the Brethren Healthcare Center in Flora, where she had been a patient for one week.
  Born Feb. 22, 1916, in Radnor, she was the daughter of Charles and Mabel Lucas Lane.
  She was married on Dec. 31, 1933, in Battle Ground, to Duane M. Lamb, who died June 10, 1960.  Her second marriage was on July 12, 1961, in Delphi, to Donald Leitzke, who died June 17, 1989.
  She was a 1933 graduate of Delphi High School.  She had worked at the former Delphi Telephone Company and at the Delphi Public Library.
  She moved to Wauwatosa, Wisc., in 1962, and then returned to Delphi in 1989.
  She was a member of Delphi United Methodist Church and Psi Iota Xi sorority, a 50-year member and past worthy matron of Carroll Chapter 475, Order of Eastern Star, and a former member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, Wisc.
  Surviving are two daughters, Joyce Sullivan of Rt. 4, Delphi, and Rebecca Shrader of Rt. 2, Delphi; a stepson, Thomas Leitzke of Milwaukee; a stepdaughter, Patricia Larson of Eugene, Ore.; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and four step-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by one son and one sister.
  Services were Saturday at Horn Funeral Home with Pastor Toby Rendleman officiating.  Burial was in Masonic Cemetery.
  Memorials may be made to the Delphi Public Library or the Brethren Healthcare Center.

Opal F. Smith (Bowman) (1933)

Mary was my dearest school friend.  In high school she, Hope Robbins Coomey and I were known as the "Three Muskateers".  That is another wonderful story, could everyone be so fortunate to have so many beautiful  memories.
