
John S. Sieber, 69, of rural Lafayette, was dead on arrival at Lafayette Home Hospital at 3:45 a.m. Sunday, April 15, 1984.
Born in Carroll County, he was married in 1946 in Lafayette to Harriett E. Elming, who survives.
A retired farmer, Sieber was a member of the Union Township; Tippecanoe County, advisory board. He was a member of the Evangelical Church and of the Indiana Farm Bureau.
Surviving with the wife are two sons, Richard Sieber of West Point and Robert Sieber, of Delphi; six sisters, Margaret Bowker of Fort Wayne, Helen Akers of Harrisonville, Mo., Charlene Porter of Flora, Delores Thomson of Delphi, Joan Rule of Brookston, and Joyce Goslee of Yeoman; one brother, William Sieber of Rt. 1, Bringhurst; and seven grandchildren.
One daughter preceded him in death.
Services were this morning at 10:30 a.m. in Lafayette. Burial was in West Point Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Evangelical Covenant Church Memorial Fund.
