The funeral of Mary Alice Ferrier, 76, of Delphi was yesterday at Horn Funeral Home in Delphi.  Father Donald Hardenbeck officiated.  Burial was in IOOF Cemetery.
  She died Friday, Dec. 29, 1989, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center in Delphi where she had been since Dec. 5.
  Born Sept. 26, 1913, in Cass County, she was the daughter of William H. and Sylvia Messner Downs.  Her marriage on April 14, 1939, was to Paul Ferrier, who survives.
  A homemaker and graduate of Delphi High School in 1932, she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church at Delphi.
  Also surviving are a daughter, Joan Larimore of Lafayette; a son, Robert of Delphi; a sister, Ida Downs of Lafayette; and a granddaughter.
  An infant son preceded her in death.
  Memorial contributions should be made to the Salvation Army.
