Alta Mildred Kite (Packart) - Class Of 1934

  Alta K. Packard, 70, Rt. 4, Delphi, died September 23, 1986, at 12:45 a.m. in Home Hospital Lafayette.  She had been a patient there since Thursday.
  She was born April 20, 1916, to Grover D. and Jennie Dobbins Kite.  Her marriage was to Marvin T "Tony" Packard on May 14, 1939 and he preceded in death in 1983.
  Mrs. Packard and her husband formerly owned and operated Clifford Grocery in Delphi for several years.  They also owned and operated Butcher Boy Meat Market in Lafayette for 18 years, retiring in 2980.
  She was a graduate of Delphi High School and a lifelong member of Delphi United Methodist Church.  She was past Worthy Matron of Rose Chapter O.E.S. and past president of Alpha Associate Chapter of Tri Kappa.
  Surviving are four sons, David W. of Logansport, Michael M. of Indianapolis, Robert V. of West Hollywood, California, and Richard K. of Lake Mary, Florida, two grandchildren, and one brother.
  Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Horn Funeral Home, Delphi, with Dr. Ellwood Smith officiating.  Friends may call at Horn Funeral Home, Wednesday, 4-8 p.m.
  Those desiring may contribute in memoriam to Carroll County Cancer Society.
