Elmo W. Dotson

  Elmo W. Dotson, 84, of Idaville, died at 5:20 p.m. March 12, 2002, at the Indiana Veterans Home, West Lafayette.
  Born July 3, 1917, in Selma, he was the son of Rev. Herbert C. and Mary Ethel Hockett Dotson.  He married Mary Thelma Cree on Jan. 10, 1937, in Delphi.  She preceded him in death on Dec. 4, 2001.
  Mr. Dotson was an agent for Farm Bureau Insurance for 21 years.
  He was a 1935 graduate of Delphi High School, a past captain in the Indiana National Guard at Delphi, and a Marine Corps veteran of World War II>
  He was a member of the Oak Grove Christian Church, Libanus Masonic Lodge 154, and the American Legion, all of Monticello; Scottish Rite of Indianapolis; and Wolcott Order of Eastern Star, 171.  He also was a member of the 151st Infantry Alumni Association of Indianapolis.
  Surviving are one son, Ramon E. Dotson of Wolcott; two daughters, Ramona T. Foster of Walton and Janet A. Kraud of Burnettsville; eight grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one sister, one brother, and one grandson.
  Services were Saturday at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home, Monticello, with Pastor Don Haase officiating.  Burial was in Pittsburg IOOF Cemetery, with military rites.  Memorials may be made to the Oak Grove Christian Church or the Idaville Church of God.
