Florence Maurine Hunter (Cope)

 Florence M. Cope, 88, of Delphi, died at 12:15 a.m. March 15, 2004 in Kokomo.
  Born in Delphi on Oct. 21, 1915, she was the daughter of Thurman and Ethel Smith Hunter.  She was a 1935 graduate of Delphi High School.
  Her marriage was to Wayne Cope in Sheridan on July 25, 1937, and he died Dec. 7, 1996.
  Mrs. Cope was a bookkeeper for Bassett and Talbert, retiring in 1980 after 25 years.
  She was a member of Rebecca Lodge and was a Girl Scout Leader.  She enjoyed embroidering, crocheting and gardening.
  Surviving are two daughters, Barbara J. Lake of Camden and Sue Cope of Delphi; two sons, Rick W. Cope of Kokomo and Jim F. Cope of Tres Piedres, N.M.; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
  She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
  Visitation will be March 18 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Davidson Funeral Home.  Services will be there on March 19 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mike Hollaway officiating.  Burial will be at Masonic Cemetery.
  Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
