Edna Bernice Johnson (Kerlin)

Edna Johnson Kerlin, 81, of Delphi, died at 7:45 p.m. Jan. 26, 1000, at Home Hospital.  She had been a patient there six days.
  Born Sept. 16, 1917, in Delphi, she was the daughter of Ed and Inez Hildebrand Johnson.  Her marriage was on May 10, 1941, in Delphi, to G. Mahlon Kerlin, who died Feb. 17, 1996.
  Mrs. Kerlin was a 1935 graduate of Delphi High School and attended Bethel Women's College in Hopkinsville, Ky.
  She was a member of Delphi First Presbyterian Church, a 50-year member and past president of Delphi American Legion Auziliary, and a charter member of Psi Iota Xi Sorority in Delphi.  She was a former member of the Carroll County Country Club.
  She was very active in the bridge circles in Delphi.  She also enjoyed golf and played in the Ladies' Golf League at the country club.
  Surviving are one daughter, Kathy Junkersfeld of Anderson; one son, George M. Kerlin of Delphi; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
  Services were Saturday at Horn Funeral Home with Rev. Ellis Gasser officiating.  Burial was in IOOF Memorial Gardens, Delphi.
