Maxine Kennard (Orr) - Class Of 1935

  Lois Maxine Orr, 93, of Seattle, Wash., formerly of Yeoman, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010, at University Hospital in Seattle, Wash., for complications of pneumonia.
  Born April 2, 1917, in Yeoman, she was the daughter of the late Glen and Mabel Holloway Kennard.  Her marriage was on Sept. 6, 1942, in Yeoman, to her high school sweetheart, Jack E. Orr, who survives.
  Mrs. Orr was a 1935 graduate of Delphi High School.
  She and her husband moved to Seattle in 1956.
  Mrs. Orr was a member of the Wedgewood Presbyterian Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher and deacon for many years.
  She was an avid University of Washington Husky football fan.
  Mrs. Orr loved golfing with her friends, playing the piano, and traveling with her family.
  Surviving with her husband are a daughter, Judith Yurina (husband: Michael) of Tacoma, Wash. a sister, Clatia Whiteman of Delphi; two grandsons, Kevin Glantz (wife: Kelly) of Seattle and Ryan Yurina (wife: Jamie) of Tacoma; and a great-grandson, Zayne Glantz.
  A memorial service was held Friday at Wedgewood Presbyterian Church in Seattle.
  Memorials may be made to the Seattle Children's Hospital.
