Martha Bell Rohrabaugh (Temple)

Martha Belle Temple, 93, of Delphi, died at 8:55 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Delphi.

Born May 17, 1917, in Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late Earnest Rohrabaugh and Maude Oles Rohrabaugh.  She was a 1935 graduate of Delphi High School.

She married Raymond A. Temple in Delphi on July 25, 1937.  He died March 24, 1997.

Mrs. Temple retired in 1978 after working 16 years at Goff's Dime Store in Delphi.  She had worked one year for the former Tyner's Shoe Store in Delphi and seven years at Pittsburg School in the kitchen. 

She was a member of Delphi United Methodist Church, one of the oldest members of the Light Circle, and a 50-year member of Modern Mrs. Entension Homemakers.  She enjoyed sewing, reading and spending time with her family.

Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Hampton of Lafayette and Susan Gray (husband: Gary) of Rossville.

Also Surviving are 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.  Preceded in death by brothers Robert and Evard; grandson, Jerry Hampton; and great-grandson, Allen Ferguson.

Visitation Saturday from 11 a.m. until the service time at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2011, with service at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi, Pastor Todd Ladd officiating.  Burial: I.O.O.F. Memoral Gardens, Delphi.  Memorial contributions, American Cancer Society.
