Services for Ruby Fern Fry, 83, of Cutler, were Monday at Baker Funeral Home, Flora, with the Rev. Vinton Fry officiating. Burial was in Ball Hill Cemetery, Cutler. She died at 9:40 a.m. Jan. 3, 2001, in Lafayette Home Hospital. Born Aug. 21, 1917, in rural Bringhurst, she was the daughter of John L. and Lydia Gangwer Lohrman. Her marriage was on May. 1, 1938, to John C. Fry, who survives. A 1936 graduate of Delphi High School, Mrs. Fry enjoyed gardening, sewing and crocheting. She was a homemaker. Also surviving are four sons, Glen Fry of Miami, Ind., Jerry Fry of Fort Wayne, Vinton Fry of Hunterville, N.C., and Charles Fry of Cutler; six daughters, Mary Greer of Bourbon, Laura Metzger of Rossville, Jane Wolfe of Flora, June Lillvis of Orange City, Fla., Clara Kurayama of Columbus, and Ruth Kelly of Delphi; one brother, George Lohrman of Sharpsville; one half sister, Evelyn Draper of Lafayette; 27 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Two sisters preceded her in death. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
