Ruth S. High, 79, of Kokomo, died at 2:30 p.m. April 18, 1998, in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. Born May 1, 1918, in Carroll County, she was the daughter of Worden and Edith Clawson Sanderson. Her marriage was to Raymond High, who died Oct. 13, 1968. Mrs. High was retired from Taylor Community School Corporation where she taught first grade for 22 years. She was a member of the Main Street U|ited Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher, worked on the annual bazaar, was a member of the Good Samaritans and Loyalty Circle, and was on the administrative council. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women. Surviving are two sons, Daniel High of Strongsville, Ohio, and Thomas High of Kokomo; a brother, James Sanderson of Tulsa, Okla.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Two brothers preceded her in death. Services were today at Main Street United Methodist Church, Kokomo, with the Rev. James D. MacDonald, Father David Helimann and Joel High officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Main Street United Methodist Women.
