Edith Hemmig (Aldrich) - Class Of 1937

Edith M. Aldrich, 74, formerly of the Senior Citizen Housing in Delphi, died at 11:05 a.m. Oct. 29, 1993, in Home Hospital, Lafayette, where she had been a patient four days.
  Born Sept. 13, 1919, in Ockley, she was the daughter of Philip and Nora Loy Hemmig.
  A 1937 graduate of Delphi High School, she worked as a clerk at the former Orr's Drug Store in Delphi for 10 years, retiring around 1986.  Prior to that, she worked at the former Goff's Dime Store in Delphi for many years.
  Surviving are three daughters, Linda Aldrich of Delphi, and Becky Spear and Lisa Parsons, both of Buda, Texas; a son, John Aldrich of Delphi; three sisters, Marjorie Hill of Richmond; Wanda Bowman of Delphi; and Louise Baer of Indianapolis; a brother, Brian Hemmig of Chapel Hill, N.C.; and six grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
  Services were Tuesday at Horn Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Ashley officiating.  Burial was in Zion Cemetery, Rt. 2, Flora.
