Mary I. Gerard, 86, formerly of Delphi, died at 6 p.m. on May 1, 2006, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center.
  Born in Pittsburg on July 28, 1919, she was the daughter of Donald and Jenny Kenrick Timmons.  She graduated from Delphi High School in 1937.
  Her marriage was to James E. Gerard in June of 1948 in Monticello, and he died Feb. 6, 1992.
  Mrs. Gerard had worked at Alcoa and attended the Christian Church.  She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose Lodge.
  She had a green thumb and enjoyed gradening.  She also favored music and played the piano and violin.  She very much appreciated cats and dogs.
  Surviving is a brother, Marvin Timmons of Lafayette.
  She was preceded in death by her son, Charles E. Gerard on Sept. 15, 2005, and by her sister, Demia Timmons,
  Service will be Thursday, at 3 p.m. at IOOF Cemetery in Delphi.
  Davidson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
