Lee Reppert - Class Of 1937

 Lee E. Reppert, 87, of Camden, formerly of rural Delphi, died at 1 a.m. on Dec. 2, 2003, in St. Elizabeth Medical Center, where he had been a patient for a week.
  Born in Tippecanoe County on May 21, 1916, he was the son of Charles and Alta Shultheis Reppert.  He was a 1937 graduate of Delphi High School.
  His marriage was to Alice V. Robbins at her parents' home in Carroll County, on Aug. 24, 1941, and she survives.
  Mr. Reppert and his wife farmed in Jackson and Monroe townships for many years, retiring in 1980.
  They moved to West Sleepy Hollow Road on the Tippecanoe River, before moving to Camden last year.
  He was a Carroll County commissioner for 12 years.  He was a precinct committeeman for the Democratic party and a Carroll County Farm Bureau director for many years.
  Mr. Reppert had taught Sunday school at Bachelor Run Church of the Brethren.  He was a member of the Living Faith Church of the Brethren where he was a trustee and held various other offices.
  His hobbies were hunting, fishing, woodworking and at one-time, he enjoyed flying airplanes.
  Also surviving are a son, John Reppert of Camden; a daughter, LeAnn Toole of Delphi; two sisters, Mary Foster of Flora and Ruby "Peggy" Fife of Bringhurst; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
  He was preceded in death by infant twin brothers and an adult brother.
  Visitation is today (Wednesday) at Abbott Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m.  Services will be there on Dec. 4, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ryan Spence officiating.  Burial will be at Camden Cemetery.
  Memorials may be made to Living Faith Church of the Brethren Building Fund.
