Opal M. (Britton) Bloor, age 87 passed away Wednesday evening, February 6, 2008 at Homeview Health & Rehabilitation Center in Franklin. She was a resident of Trafalgar. She was born September 12, 1920, in Medaryville, to the late Charles H. and Bertha N. (Norris) Britton. She married Reginald G. Bloor on October 17, 1946 in Indianapolis. He preceded her in death on November 12, 2005 after 59 loving years.

Survivors include two sisters: Vera (Al) Gerbens of Mesa, AZ & Arlene June Coghill of Phoenix, AZ; caregivers: Gloria & Ron Vansickle of Trafalgar; several nieces & nephews. Opal was preceded in death by two sisters: Lois Horne & Maxine Mills and one brother: Kenneth Britton.

She was a 1938 graduate of Delphi High School in Delphi. She retired as a Secretary in 1981 from American United Life Insurance Company after 21 years of service.

Opal was a member of the Executive Women International Organization where she was the past Secretary, American Business Womens Association where she was the Past President. She also was a Master Gardener and a charter member for the Johnson County Garden Club and Indiana Word Processing Association. Opal enjoyed volunteering at the Indiana State Museum and at the Johnson County Historical Society.

Services were entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home of Morgantown, Indiana.
