Bette June Janz, 61, 202 E. Summit St., Delphi, died at 7:45 a.m. Thurs., May 15, 1980, at Home Hospital. She had been hospitalized 10 weeks and in ill health since August. Born Feb. 28,1919, near Delphi, she was a 20-year employee of Union Bank and Trust Co. in Delphi. Her parents were Roy and Timoxena Thompson Erb. She was married July 26, 1941, in Logansport, to William Janz. She was a member of the Monticello Lutheran Church of Our Savior and Delphi Business Womens Club. Surviving with the husband are one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Karen Lee) Bradshaw of Crete, Ill.; a son, William E. Janz of Peoria, Ill.; three sisters, Loda Martin, Rt. 1, Camden, and Mary Holst and Thelma McCoy, both of Lafayette, and two grandsons. One brother, Joseph Erb, preceded her in death. Funeral services were Saturday at Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald L. Luhring officiating. Burial was in Maple Lawn Cemetery. Memorials were suggested for Carroll County Cancer Association.
