Vernabelle Richardson (Woods) - Class Of 1938

    Mrs. Violet Vernabelle Woods, 58, Pittsburg, died unexpectedly at 3 p.m. Thurs., April 5, 1979, at her residence.
    Born April 22, 1920, at Pittsburg, she was the daughter of Samuel and Zorada Morrison Richardson.  Her marriage September 26, 1937, at Lafayette was to Robert W. Woods.  She co-owned the Landmark Restaurant in Pittsburg with her husband.  She was a member of Delphi United Methodist Church.
    Surviving with the husband are one son, Lonnie Woods of Indianapolis; two daughters, Mrs. Pamela Clawson of Rt. 2, Flora, and Mrs. Penny Begley of Greenwood; one brother, Harley Richardson, Rt. 2, Delphi; two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Franklin and Mrs. Stella Phillips, both of Pittsburg, and seven grandchildren.  One brother preceded her in death.
    Services were Sunday afternoon at Jackson Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Ashley officiating.  Burial was in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Pittsburg.
