Graveside service for Rebecca Jane Brooks, 71, 6437 N. SR 25, Delphi (Rockfield), were Friday at Pittsburg I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Pastor Kermit Goins officiated. She died at 8:40 a.m. July 4, 2000, at her residence. Born July 8, 1928, in Carroll County, she was the daughter of William H. and Cora Marie Gheer Lybrook. Her marriage was on Sept. 14, 1947, in Delphi, to Whitt Brooks, who survives. A 1946 graduate of Delphi High School, Mrs. Brooks worked in the laundry at Delphi Nursing Home, retiring in 1989. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. Also surviving are three sons, Ronald Brooks of Monon, Jack Brooks of Bringhurst, and Tony Brooks of Rockfield; six daughters, Mildred Jane Rogers of Cummings, Ga., Beverly Brown of rural Bringhurst, Ann Margaret Anderson of Noblesville, Cindy Brooks of Minneapolis, Minn., Nancy Fields of Rockfield, and Sally Jo Clark of Lafayette; one brother. Charles Lybrook of Delphi; two sisters, Dorothy Draper of Pittsburg and Linda Whitman of Los Angeles, Calif.; and 34 grandchildren.
