Mary Penn (Bruck) - Class Of 1946

Funeral mass for Mary E. Bruck, 77, of Logansport, was held Monday at All Saints Catholic Church, Logansport, Father Christopher Weldon officiated.  Burial was at Mount Hope Cemetery.
  She died at 2:58 a.m. Sept. 1, 2006, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
  Born Sept. 23, 1928 in Carroll County, she was the daughter of Raymond and Hazel Vernon Penn.  Her marriage was on Sept. 6, 1948, to Robert Francis Bruck, who survives.
  Mrs. Bruck was retired from J.C. Penney in the Logansport mall after many years of employment.
  She was very active in All Saints Parish, where she was a member of the All Saints Ladies Society, Daughters of Isabella.  She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
  Mrs. Bruck was a volunteer with the Mary Dykeman Guild at Memorial Hospital for 20 years.
  She was an active member of the Logansport Art Association.  For several years she and her husband delivered Easter dinners for the Knights of Columbus.
  She enjoyed her sport activities and served on the board of directors of the Logansport Women's Bowling Association.  She was an avid golfer in the association.
  She was also a big Elvis fan.
  Surviving with her husband are a son, Larry D. Bruck (wife: Marcy) of Logansport; a daughter, Sandra Diane Stout (husband: Gayle) of Burlington; four brothers, William Penn (wife: Sue) ofDelphi, Carl Penn (wife: Carolyn) of Clymers, Pat Penn of Burrows, and Phillip Penn (wife: Terry) of Logansport; a sister-in-law, Marge Penn of Star City; a brother-in-law, John Bruck (wife: Jean) of Logansport; five grandchildren. Allison Bruck of Indianapolis, Jenniffer Parker (husband: Steve) of Burlington, Connie Page (husband: Bill) of Kokomo, Suzanne Stout of Fishers, and PFC Scott Stout, USMC Calif.; six great-grandchildren, Logan and Kaitlyn Parker, Dawson, Maverick and Jakob Page, and Faith Stout;and a number of nieces and nephews.
  She was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Penn, and an infant sister, Phyliis Penn.
