Wilma S. Painter, 75, of Lafayette, died Feb. 7, 2004.  Born in Flora on Nov. 14, 1928, she was the daughter of William and Helen Shaffer.
  She graduated from Delphi High School in 1946.
  Her marriage was to Charles R. Painter on Nov. 22, 1963, and he died on July 12, 1989.  Mrs. Painter was on the office staff at Alcoa for 35 years, retiring in 1983.
  Services were Feb. 9 in Lafayette, with burail at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
