Amelia was the daughter of Roland Wilson and Formosa Studebaker Wilson. Her brothers were Charles, Herbert, and James. She was survived by her husband, Melvin Lewis Denton. The ruling of suicide is questionable. "Sis" as she was known to family and friends was most likely the victim of a homicide. Many in this small town were aware of the true events surrounding her death, yet chose to remain silent.
