Lena M. Layer, 73, of Delphi, died at 6:55 a.m. Nov. 14, 2001, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette.
  Born Dec. 27, 1927, in Fowler, she was the daughter of William and Addie Sorenson Robertson.  She married Ralph Layer on Sept. 18, 1958, in Royal Center, and he survives.
  A 1946 graduate of Delphi High School, she retired from Peters-Revington where she worked in the mill and finishing departments.
  Mrs. Layer was a member and past president of Delphi VFW Post 9383 Auxiliary and volunteered on post bingo nights.  She also was a member of Delphi American Legion Post 75 Auxiliary.
  She enjoyed cooking.
  Also surviving are two sons, William (Tom) Hall of Delphi and Michael Hall of Salem, Ore.; one daughter, Debra Webb of Monticello; a brother, Roy Robertson of Monticello; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
  Services were Friday at Davidson Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Stewart officiating.  Burial was in IOOF Memorial Gardens, Delphi.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
