Phyllis M. Crowder, 92, of Delphi passed away on July 24, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Delphi. Phyllis was born on Feb. 15, 1930 in Carroll County to the late Everett D. and Bertha M. (Kendrick) Reifert Franklin. She was a 1948 graduate of Delphi High School. She had worked 25 years for doctors in Lafayette as a surgical assistant. She also worked at Peters Revington and later at Brown Rubber in Lafayette as a receptionist. She also had played piano for the country-western group, Hoosier 4. She married Perry “Dale” Crowder on Dec. 31, 1967 and he preceded her in death on March 30, 2019. Phyllis enjoyed playing the piano and doing her yardwork. She is survived by her nephew, David M. Reifert (wife: Linda) of Brookston and niece, Ginny L. Cox of Wabash, her in-laws: Rick Crowder of TN, Donnie Crowder of FL, Deb Randolph of Delphi, and Pat Measels of Lafayette. Along with her parents and husband, Dale, she is preceded in death by her brother, Marcus “Pat” and nieces, Mary Lytle and Patricia Abbott. Visitation will be at Davidson Funeral Home from 11:00-1:00 p.m. on July 28, 2022. A graveside service will be at Zion-Citizens Cemetery in rural Carroll County at 1:30 p.m. following the visitation at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi.
