Bonita Foster (Sieber)

Husband and wife, William J. Sieber, 65, and Bonita Joanne Sieber, 64, of Rt. 1, Bringhurst, died July 2, 1994, in St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center, Lafayette, from injuries received in a truck/train accident at 9:12 that morning in Buck Creek. He died at 10:29 a.m. and she died at 10:30 a.m. Born Feb. 22,1929, in Lafayette, he was the son of Charles V. and Floss Stewart Sieber. She was born Feb. 1, 1930, in Carroll County, the daughter of Lawrence E. and Mable E. Whiteman Foster. They were married Aug. 27,1950, in Delphi. A 1947 graduate of Flora High School, Mr. Sieber was employed by Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc., for 32 years, retiring in January. Mrs. Sieber, a 1948 graduate of Delphi High School, was a deputy clerk for Carroll County since 1987. She had formerly worked part-time in the office of Carroll County recorder and clerk and for the Carroll County Abstract Co. She was an honorary retired member of Beta Alpha Chapter of Psi Iota Xi of Flora. They were members of Delphi Presbyterian Church. The couple is survived by a daughter, Janene Parks of Ankeny, Iowa, and a son, W. David Sieber of Flora, and four grandchildren. Mr. Sieber is also survived by six sisters, Margaret Bowker of Huntertown, Helen Akers of Harrisonville, Mo., Charlene Porter of Flora, Delores Thomson of Delphi, Joan Rule of Lafayette, and Joyce Goslee of Yeoman. Mrs. Sieber is also survived by her stepmother, Catherine Foster of Logansport. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Flora First Christian Church with Pastor Neil Allen officiating. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Flora. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Baker Funeral Home, Flora.
