Barbara A. Nelson, 88, of Delphi, passed away at home on Sept. 25, 2018. Barbara was born on Aug. 8, 1930 in Delphi to the late Charles and Gretchen Irene (Shockey) Larimore. She was a 1948 graduate of Delphi High School.

She married George H. Nelson on Feb. 7, 1949 and he preceded her in death on March 23, 2000.

She was a homemaker. She loved taking care of her home, family and she loved all little children.

Barbara was a former member of the Delphi Christian Church, TOPS Friendship Club and the Ladies of the Moose in Monticello. She is a member of the Oak Grove Christian Church.

She enjoyed playing Bingo, cards, doing water aerobics, traveling, gambling and bird watching.

She is survived by her children: Diana Reef (Jerry) of Cutler, Janet Allbaugh (Ron), of Delphi, Tracy Houchin of Camden, Karen McFadden (John) and Jeff Nelson (Marcy) both of Delphi; son-in-law: Norman Lenz of San Marcos, TX; sister, Joann Van Natta of Battle Ground; 16 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren; and special caregivers: Jackie Johns and Judy Moore.

Along with her husband, George, she was preceded by her daughter, Susan Lenz; sisters: Beatrice, Ruth, Evelyn, Betty, Delores, Edith and brothers: Bob Edgar and Donald and great granddaughter, Katilin.

Visitation will be from noon until the 2:00 p.m. funeral service on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018 at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi. Pastor Ashli Cartwright-Peak officiating. Burial will follow in the Morning Heights Cemetery, Delphi
