Services were held Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Ruth Ellen Howell, 62, of Marion. She dies Feb. 19, 1992, in Marion General Hospital. Born Dec. 26, 1929, in Delphi, she was the daughter of William Randolph and Josephine Margaret Chapman Wood. Her marriage was to Ted Howell, who died in 1988. She lived in Delphi before moving to Logansport, then in Marion 38 years. She was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delphi and a member of Eagles Auxiliary in Marion and Logansport. She was a former employee of Essex in Converse and Bryan Manufacturing in Monticello. Surviving are a daughter, Drusilla Nelson of Remington; four sons Michael Schromeck of Fort Wayne; Vincent W., Wayne W. "Billy" and Terrance A, "Terry" Howell, all of Marion; two brothers George W. Wood of Monticello and Joseph E. Wood of Wabash; and five grandsons. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery. Horn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
