Gordon Flora - Class Of 1943

- Gordon Lee Flora, 93, of Rockfield, passed away Friday-Oct 26, 2018 at St. Elizabeth East Hospital, Lafayette. He was born Sept. 6, 1925 in Rockfield, to the late Everett & Marie Kerlin Flora. His marriage was to Patricia Hatten Garrison on March 30, 1974, in Logansport, and she survives. He was a 1943 graduate of Rockfield High School, and was president of his senior class. He was a member and Elder of the Rockfield Presbyterian Church. He was a 65 year member of the Mt. Zion Masonic Lodge #211 in Camden. He was a retired Director of the Carroll County REMC. He was an advisory board member for Rock Creek Township. He was a committee member of the inaugural DCHS Ag Advisory Board. First and foremost he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was an avid farmer for all his life on the family farm outside of Rockfield. Gordon loved to travel with his wife all over the world and made it to 6 out of the 7 continents. Surviving along with his wife are 3 sons: Russell (Sherri) Garrison of Lafayette, James (Tina) Garrison of Delphi, John (Samantha) Garrison of Delphi, 9 grandchildren: Christopher (Sarah) Garrison, Shalina (Jeff) Osburn, Ashley (Brock) Turner, Brady (Katie) Garrison, Natalie Garrison, Kerisa (Shawn) Fuller, Keaton (Julia) Garrison, MaKayla (Chris) Wolfe, Lily Garrison, 7 great grandchildren: Ann Marie Garrison, Paisley Osburn, Easton Fuller, Conley Osburn, Bryce Turner, Nora Garrison, Brooklyn Wolfe, a sister Wiladean (Richard) Snoeberger of Camden. Preceded in death by an inf. granddaughter Noelle Garrison. The family will celebrate his life with a time of receiving friends on Saturday-Nov 10, 2018, from 11am-1pm, at Eastside Assembly of God Church, 6121 E. 50 S., Lafayette, IN 47905. A meal will follow at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carroll County 4-H Exhibit Association, envelopes available at the church. Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi, in charge of arrangements.
