Ruth M. Rhine, 82, of Delphi, passed away at 10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, 2009, at her home with her daughters at her side.
  Born Dec. 23, 1926, in Delphi, she was the daughter of Martin Earl and Clara Faye Weaver Hildebrandt.  Her marriage was on April 13, 1947, at the Delphi United Methodist Church, to John D. Rhine, who preceded her in death June 12, 2009.
  Mrs. Rhine was a 1944 graduate of Delphi High School and attended Kendall College in Evanston, Ill.
  She had worked as a teller and loan officer for Hometown Federal.
  Mrs. Rhine was an active member of the Delphi United Methodist Church.  She was also a member of the Ring of Tattars and Kappa Kappa Kappa Sorority.
  She enjoyed doing needlework, gardening, canning, candy and pie making, traveling and visiting with family and friends.
  Surviving are three daughters, Marie Harris (husband: Dr. Charles) of Carmel, Ellen Hostetler (husband: James) of Tucson, Ariz., and Nancy Farrier (husband: Robert John) of Apple Valley, Calif.; two brothers, Frank Hildebrandt (wife Phyllis) of Lafayette and Joseph Hildebrand (wife: Delores) of Delphi; two sisters, Mary Jean Odano (husband: Toshio) of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mildred Daniels of Delphi; sister-in-law, Jean Hildebrandt of Delphi; 12 grandchildren, Erin, Lea, Adrian, Anne Marie, Abigail, Ardra, Alyssa, Lindsay, Melanie, Stephanie, Josh and Tim; and three great-grandchildren, Hunter, Briana and Ryan.
  Preceding her in death were a brother, Charles Hildebrandt, and a sister, Joan Echler.
  Services will be held today, Wednesday, at 11 a.m. at Davidson Funeral Home in Delphi.  Pastor Todd Ladd will officiate.  Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery in Delphi.
