Robert Hyman - Class Of 1944

 Robert C. Hyman, 77, of Delphi, died at 1:30 p.m. on April 18, 2004, at his residence.
  Born in Young America on Aug. 4, 1926, he was the son of Earl O. and Hazel Cline Hyman.  He was a 1944 graduate of Delphi High School.
  His marriage was to Helen L. Swaim in Delphi, on Feb. 2, 1947, and she preceded him in death on Oct. 28, 2003.
  Mr. Hyman was retired after 50 years as a pipefitter with Plumbers and Steam Fitters Local #157.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II with the rank of TECH 4.
  He was a 59-year member of Delphi and Camden American Legion posts.  He was a member of Delphi VFW Post #9383.
  Mr. Hyman was an avid collector and enjoyed going to his grandchildren's sporting events.
  Surviving are two sons, Mike Hyman and Stan Hyman, both of Delphi; a daughter, Mary A. Burton of Camden; a sister, Betty J. Hallam of Inverness, Fla.; six grandchildren; and a a great-grandchild.
  He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
  Services were today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. at Davidson Funeral Home, with Rev. Chuck Rogers officiating.  Burial is at Masonic Cemetery in Delphi with military rites by Camden and Delphi American Legions.
  Memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice.
