Raymond Eugene Penn - Class Of 1944

Raymond Eugene Penn, 67, Rt. 1, Star City, died on July 8, 1994 in his residence.

Born Oct. 24, 1926, in Burrows, he was the son of Raymond L. and Hazel McCabe Penn.  On June 30, 1948 he was married in Winamac to Margery Ann Ruff, who survives.

A retired farmer, Mr. Penn sold and repaired televisions.

He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and a former Democrat precinct committeeman.

Also surviving are two daughters, Shirley Carpenter, Kewanna, and Rebecca Anspach, Star City: three sons, Kenny, Indianapolis, David, Fairfax, Va, and Jon, Star City; one sister, Mary Bruck, Logansport; three brothers, William, Delphi, Carl, Logansport, and Pat, Kansas; nine grandsons; and one great-grandchild.

One daughterand one sister preceded in death.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, wth the Rev. Dominic G. Young officiating.  Burial, with military rites will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday and after 8 a.m. Monday in Frain Mortuary, where the roasary will be receited at 6:30 p.m. and a scripural wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday.
