Mary Margaret Delaney, 91, passed away on December 24, 2017 at The Springs Health Center in Lafayette. Mary Margaret was born in Tippecanoe County on March 14, 1926 to the late Christopher and Catherine (Hazlett) Schnepp. She was a 1944 graduate of Delphi High School.

She married Lawrence “Bus” Lee Delaney on Aug. 21, 1946 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delphi and he preceded her on April 3, 1987.

She was a homemaker and had previously worked in the Athletic Dept. at Delphi High School.Mrs. Delaney was a member of the St Joseph Catholic Church in Delphi, a member of the Rosary & Altar Society, Red Hat Society, and Lunch Bunch.

She also enjoyed volunteering for the Canal Center and St. Elizabeth Healthcare.

She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, flower gardening and traveling. She also enjoyed playing cards, Euchre and Skip-O with her companion, Robert Quinn.

She is survived by her children: Brenda Robertson of Dayton and Jeffery Delaney (Cheryl) of Lafayette; grandchildren; Dawn Robertson of Charlotte, NC, Brett Robertson of Flora, Brad Delaney of Lafayette and Chad Delaney of Sheridan; 7 great grandchildren and her companion, Robert Quinn.

She was also preceded by her grandson, Shane Delaney; brother, William Schnepp and sister, Emma Dillman.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017 until the 11:00 a.m. funeral mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Delphi. Father Clayton Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Delphi.

Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church.
