Charles A. "Chuck" Simmons, 74, died March 21, 2001, in Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.
  Mr. Simmons graduated from Delphi High School in 1944 and was a World War II Navy veteran.  He was employed at Grimm & Sons Funeral Home as an ambulance driver and assistant.  He retired as service manager from the Chrysler-Plymouth dealership in Dayton, Ohio.
  Surviving are his wife, Shirley Simmons; two sons, David Simmons and Larry Simmons, both of Delphi; a sister, Kathleen Kobes of Kettering, Ohio, formerly of Delphi; his mother, Flo Spivey of Dayton, Ohio, formerly of Delphi; and six grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a son, Mike Simmons.
  Services and burial were in Dayton, Ohio, on March 24.
