Wilma Sneathen (Fife) - Class Of 1944

Wilma Lois Fife, 93, of Delphi passed away at 8:15 p.m., Saturday, March 28, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center in Delphi. Born on October 23, 1926 in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late Earl “Bud” and Gladys Lillian (Phillips) Sneathen. She was a graduate of Delphi High School. In 1955 she married Richard Fife, Sr. He preceded her in death in 1981. Wilma was formerly employed at Glove Valve and Home Hospital in Lafayette. She was a member of Delphi Wesleyan Church. Wilma enjoyed mission work for the church and had been to Africa and Mexico. She enjoyed living for over 20 years at the Wesleyan Village in Brookville, Florida. Wilma was a hard worker who enjoyed carpentry, roofing, plumbing and mowing yards. She mowed over 100 yards in Florida well into her 80s. Wilma also collected all types of metals where she would clean and sell so she could donate all the proceeds to missions. Survivors include her son, Charles E. Fife and wife Catherine of Delphi, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her twin sister, Bethel White and Ethel Lewis and step children, Richard Fife, Jr. and Connie Brewer. Private Graveside Services will be held at Morning Heights Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date at Delphi Wesleyan Church In Lieu of Flowers memorial can be made to the Delphi Wesleyan Church. Cree Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
