Gene Roskuski - Class Of 1939

Gene A. Roskuski, 82, of Delphi, died at 11:57 a.m. on July 10, 2003, at Indiana Veteran's Home in West Lafayette.
  Born in Delphi on October 17, 1920, he was the son of Charles and Bessie Linton Roskuski, and attended Delphi schools.
  He married Helen Hutton on Nov. 8, 1947, in Delphi, and she survives.
  Mr. Roskuski served in the U.S. Army with a rank of T-4 during World War II.
  He worked for Pro-Ag Equipment for six years before retiring in 1980.  He also worked at the former George Todd and at Sons Implement in Delphi, and had worked as a blacksmith.  After his retirement, Mr. Roskuski worked as a custodian for five years at Hook's Drug Store in Delphi.
  He attended Delphi United Methodist Church and Chapel of Faith at Indiana Veteran's Home.
  Mr. Roskuski was a member of Delphi American Legion where he received the Dr. Crampton Award.  He was a member of VFW Post #9383, and Delphi Tri-Township Fire Department, where he was fire chief from 1962 to 1969.
  Also surviving are two sons, Douglas G. Roskuski and Charles D. Roskuski, both of Delphi; two sisters, Maryanne Robinson and Audrey L. Clawson, both of Delphi; three granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
  Services were July 12 at Davidson Funeral Home, with burial at Masonic Cemetery.  Military rites were conducted by American Legion Post #75.
