Lois Allbaugh (Maxwell) - Class Of 1939

 Lois I. Allbaugh Maxwell, 88, of Flora, died unexpectedly in the morning Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, at her residence.
  Born April 24, 1921, in Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Queen Alta Allen Allbaugh.  She was a 1939 graduate of Delphi High School.  Her marriage was on Aug. 11, 193, near Delphi, to Ancil D. Maxwell, who preceded her in death Aug. 24, 2006.
  A longtime Flora resident, Mrs. Maxwell was a homemaker.  She retired from Rockwell International in Flora after 19 years of service and also worked seasonally for Pioneer Seeds in Flora.
  She was a member of the First Brethren Church in Flora, taught Sunday school for many years, and was in the Woman's Missionary Society.
  Mrs. Maxwell was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing.
  She dearly loved her family.
  Surviving are two daughters, Carol J. Cox and Marjorie Calvert (husband: Glenn "Butch") both of Delphi; a son, Ralph Maxwell (wife: Carol) of Bringhurst; two sisters, Carmen Wise of Buck Creek and June Clem (husband: Charles) of Flora; six grandchildren, Kimberly Baker, Pamela Salmon, Michelle Wise, Janelle Pullen, Brandi Gaines and Randy Calvert; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Allbaugh of Flora.
  Preceding her in death were a sister, Freda Eller, and a brother, George Allbaugh.
  Services will be held today, Wednesday, at 10 a.m. at Baker-Abbott Funeral Home in Flora.  Pastor Dan Herendeen will officiate.  Burial will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery. Flora.
  Memorials may be made to the First Brethren Church or the Flora Public Library.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
