Bowen Conn - Class Of 1940

Byrum Bowen "Bo" Conn, 76, Montgomery, Texas, died Oct. 23, 1997, at his home following a lengthy illness.
  He was born Aug. 27, 1921, in Delphi.
  A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served during World War II.  He had a successful career in the machine tool industry, and was a member of the Society of Mechanical Engineers.  He moved to Houston in 1971 and established Fabricating Equipment Corportation, from which he retired as president in 1985.
  He was an avid golfer and a private pilot belonging to the National Pilot's Association.
  Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Kitty Peirce; eight children, Carol Ulrich, Kitty Rinker, Jim Conn, Jeannie Folger, Patricia "Pete" Wood, Cindy Frazee, Janet Conn and Teresa Lauhoff; a brother, Harry Conn; 22 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.  A brother preceded him in death.
  A memorial will be Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Walden Community Church, Montgomery, Texas.
