Vernon Isley - Class Of 1940

Married Eva M. Bougher. (class of 1942) Veteran of WWII. Died 05-07-1978.

 

Vernon Isley, 56, Americus, former employee of Brown Rubber Co., died at 11 p.m. Sat. May 27, 1978, in St. Elizabeth Hospital.  He had been hospitalized several weeks.
  Born Feb. 7, 1922, near Colburn, he was the son of Clavis and Edith Fetterhoff Isley.  He had lived in Delphi, Madison Township and Tippecanoe County.  In 1942 he was married to Eva Bougher, who died in 1962.  He was a member of Colburn United Methodist Church.
  Surviving are two sons, George Isley of Rt. 5, Monticello and Dan Isley of Delphi; his parents, Mrs. Edith Pittser of Delphi, and Clavis Isley of Roseland, Fla., one brother, Richard Isley, Americus, and two grandchildren.
  Funeral services were this morning at Jackson Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Ashley officiating.  Interment was in Zion Cemetery west of Bringhurst with military graveside rites.
